Healthy Berry Smoothie – fresh , juicy, smooth, creamy and crisp! This is definitely a feel good ‘pick your mood up’ smoothie with just 4 ingredients but it will keep you going to the next meal without being completely starving!

Whenever I am rushing out the door or I know I’m going to be out for most of the day I try to make a quick smoothie just to help me break that hunger between meals and to keep me going a bit longer. Besides, it’s loads better than unhealthy snacking.

Healthy Berry Smoothie

This is not a meal replacement or a re-boost or detox or anything like that, its a fresh and nutritious smoothie that’s filling, creamy and delicious. Simple. For more of a protein based smoothie you can take a peek at this post here.

I started enjoying smoothies only after a long time of being convinced that I would love them! You know when someone tells you over & over that something is great or that something is ‘blue’ and you never take them seriously until one day you taste it or try it and then you are so blue that you can’t believe you’ve been living under a rock for so long? Yep, that’s me! And now I’m all about smoothies!

OPTIONAL:

Serve your smoothie with chia seeds, almonds or walnuts.

TIP:

For a richer creamier dessert taste you can also add approximately 125 ml of coconut water.

Fresh and Nutritious Breakfast Smoothie!

Ingredients
  • 1 Frozen banana
  • 1/4 Cup Almond Butter
  • 1 Cup Frozen Berries
  • 1 Tablespoon Honey
Directions
  • Step 1 Blend all the ingredients until smooth and creamy.
  • Step 2 Serve with a slice or 2 of ripe banana, coconut shavings and frozen or fresh berries.
  • Step 3 Optional:
  • Step 4 Serve your smoothie with chia seeds, almonds or walnuts.

  • Step 6 For a richer creamier dessert taste you can also add approximately 125 ml of coconut water
