I have many other healthy recipes that you can find here or linked to my Instagram. This easy cookie recipe is so basic and I deliberately wanted them buttery, delicious and crunchy. If I had any chocolate on that day trust me it would have also gone in! Ah my next batch.
Because I don’t have little ones I barely ever make cookies but after being inspired by a fellow Instagram follower doing good deeds I knew that I had to follow suit. I can tell you that the guys working here on painting the building had huge smiles and compliments which made it all worth it!
By the time I saw the inspirational post it was already late and because it was Friday I knew that they normally left very early so I needed a recipe that was going to be non complicated.

Reflection and Inspiration
If you have the opportunity to make or bake something for someone then do it. Especially for someone that can give you nothing in return. After my last newsletter where I spoke a little about the horror massacre in New Zealand, Christ Church as well as our South African Human Rights Day which holds its own relevance I honestly thought that we all need to do something no matter how small just to purely do better.
First Notes About This Recipe
Once you’ve mixed the dry ingredients and you are working the room temperature butter in its best to use your hands to get it into a dough. Once in a dough keep rolling balls and pressing out.
Add the butter as you go not all at once!
Easy Cookie Recipe
4 Ingredient buttery cookie recipe which is best eaten after they have cooled down completely.
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 tsps cinnamon
- 250 grams room temperature butter (approx 2 sticks)
Prepare a baking oven tray with baking paper.
Heat the oven to 190 degrees.
Mix the first 3 dry ingredients.
Add the room temperature butter.
Rub together into a dough consistency.
Roll into balls.
Flatten and use a fork to gently press into each one.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the sides brown a little
Allow to cool for 5 minutes before transferring onto a cooling rack to cool down completely.
Once cooled store in an airtight container.
