Ingredients
Units
Scale
- 500 grams lamb chops
- salt and pepper
- olive oil
Sauce
- 3 -4 Tbps Ketchup (tomato sauce)
- 1 Tbsp Sriracha sauce
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1/4 cup red wine
- 1/2 tsp liquid smoke, a couple drops is enough (optional)
- 1/2 fresh lemon juice
Instructions
- Pat the lamb chops dry with kitchen towel or kitchen tissue paper.
- Season well with salt and pepper on both sides and a small drizzle of olive oil.
- Preheat the air fryer for 5 minutes.
- Place the now seasoned lamb chops into the air fryer basket in a single layer and air fry on 205 degrees C / 401 degrees F for 10 minutes, turning halfway.
- Remove the lamb chops and set aside. Use a spoon to remove the access oil in the air fryer, you will be left with the meat juices, keep that for later. You can toss the oil or keep it for another recipe.
For the Sauce
- Add all the ingredients for the sauce into an air fryer safe dish. I use an oven safe ceramic dish.
- Pour any remaining juices from the lamb (after the excess fat is removed) into the sauce.
- Place the dish with the sauce into the air fryer and air fry on 185°C / 365°F for 12 to 15 minutes or until you have a thick sauce.
- Serve the lamb chops with fresh lemon, fresh chopped parsley, Maldon sea salt and the thick tomato and red wine sauce.
