- bok choy
- 2 carrots (peeled and thinly sliced)
- 1 small red onion (thinly sliced (not julienned))
- 1 tbsp ginger (finely chopped/minced)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 3 Tbps cooking oil
- 2 tsps rice vinegar
- 2 Tbsps soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp oyster sauce
- 1/4 tsp salt & pepper or to taste
- 2 to 3 Tbsps water
- sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Prep the bok choy: Start by rinsing the bok choy, let it drip dry in a colander or use a salad spinner. Slice off the hard bits on the end. If your bok choy is large, you can slice them in half lengthways.
- Cook the veggies: In a pan, heat the oil and cook the carrots on high heat for roughly 2 minutes and add the onion, stir it together. Add the garlic and ginger, keep it going by combing the ingredients as you add.
- Add the bok choy: Pour in the water and add the bok choy. Cover the pan for approxiamately 40 to 50 seconds.
- Add sauces: Add the soy and oyster sauces and give it a mix.
- Season: Salt and pepper, sesame seeds and serve. Enjoy!
