  • 1/4 cup muscovado sugar
  • 2 zest and juice from 2 large oranges
  • 3 orange peels thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 aniseed
  • 1/8th teaspoon pinch of chili flakes

Instructions

  1. Wash the oranges and zest them all. Use a vegetable peeler to slice off a few thin orange slices.
  2. In a small to medium size saucepan add all the ingredients including the orange zest and orange peels (about 4-5 peels)
  3. Mix everything together.
  4. Bring the glaze ingredients to a boil over high heat and then immediately lower to medium heat and cook for 5 minutes. Use to pour over ham or basting on duck.

Notes

Storage

Pour it into a container and keep it the fridge and then once it's cool, place the lid on because it needs to be in an airtight container and then forget about for a week.

Freeze:  Freezer container up ot 3 months/

ReUse:  Once it has thawed you can re-use it without reheating. If you're making a roasted ham, simply pour it over the top or baste!
