Filling
- 900 grams pizza dough (approx. 1kg or 2lb)
- 2 cups pizza sauce
- 1/2 cup chorizo
- 1 cup Parmesan
- 2 cups mozzarella
- 1/2 cup salami
- olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200°/400°F and line a baking sheet with baking paper.
- Divide the dough into 8 equal parts and roll each piece into a ball. Either use your hands or a rolling pin to spread each dough ball out into a flat pizza shape of about 1/4-inch pizza shape.
- Add the filling to the one side of the circle and try to leave some space on the edges, to seal it. Start with your pizza sauce as your would in making a pizza and then add your fillings. Fold the other side over the filling and seal in the edges with your fingers or a fork.
- Place calzones on a baking sheet leaving a bit of space between each one. Brush the tops with oil and cut two or three slits on the tops of each.
