Ingredients
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 2 Chipotle peppers from a can of chipotles in adobo sauce
- 1 tablespoon lime juice or lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin spice
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- fresh black pepper
- 2-4 tablespoons water (see notes)
- 1 tsp honey or maple syrup for sweetness (optional ingredient so taste first for your preference).
Instructions
- Add all the ingredients into a food processor or blender.
- Blend until smooth. Check the consistency and adjust by adding water if needed. One tablespoon at a time.
- Store in an airtight container in the fridge or use immediately over tacos, burritos, wraps, veggies, use as a dip, sauce or dressing.
Notes
Chipotle peppers: The peppers come in a little sauce so be sure to take a little sauce from the can with the peppers.
Storage: What you don't use, store in an airtight container in the fridge.
Uses: You can blend the peppers in sauce and use in soups, stews, as a spread, on wraps and more.
Water: Start by adding a tablespoon at a time to check the consistency you prefer. If it happens to be too thin, leave it in the fridge for a few hours, it will thicken.
