Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ cups Tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsps Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsps Tomato paste
  • ½ cup Cider vinegar
  • cup Molasses or just brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Liquid smoke
  • ¼ cup Honey
  • 2 tbsps Brown sugar

Seasoning & Spices

  • ¼ teaspoon Salt & Pepper to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon Garlic & Herb Spice

Instructions
 

  • Add all the ingredients: In a medium saucepan, combine the tomato sauce, tomato paste, apple cider vinegar, molasses, honey, brown sugar, liquid smoke, and seasoning and stir the ingredients together until well combined.
    1 ½ cups Tomato sauce, 2 tbsps Tomato paste, ½ cup Cider vinegar, ⅓ cup Molasses, 1 teaspoon Liquid smoke, ¼ cup Honey, 2 tbsps Brown sugar, ¼ teaspoon Salt & Pepper, ¼ teaspoon Garlic & Herb Spice, 2 tbsps Worcestershire sauce
  • Simmer: Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a simmer.Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer gently for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, to allow the flavors to meld and the sauce to thicken slightly.Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
  • Cool: Once the sauce has reached your desired consistency and flavor, remove it from the heat and let it cool slightly.
  • Enjoy/Store: Transfer the braai sauce to a clean jar or container with a tight-fitting lid.Use the sauce immediately as a marinade, basting sauce, or dipping sauce for grilled meats, or store it in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
