Heat the olive oil and cook the garlic till light golden brown, a few seconds and add a handful of fresh basil (with the stems).
Immediately add the canned tomato or the basil will burn! Stir in the tomato paste and season with salt and pepper. More fresh basil to finish.
Pour into a strainer/sieve and discard the garlic and basil, using the back of spoon to push the sauce through the sieve.
Pour the cleaned tomato sauce back into the saucepan and simmer for 15 minutes or until desired consistency is reached. You can discard the bits left over. Once cooled pour into a clean jar and store in the fridge.
5 Minute Pizza Sauce
Add all the ingredients into a bowl and mix. Taste for seasoning.
