Total Time 5 minutes
Servings :4 servings

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic finely minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Melt the butter in a pan over medium heat.
  • Add the garlic and cook for 30–60 seconds until fragrant (do not brown).
  • Pour in the cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  • Stir in the parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  • Season with salt and black pepper.
  • Simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Toss with pasta or use as desired.

Notes

  • Garlic tip: Keep the heat moderate — browned garlic can turn bitter.
  • Consistency: If the sauce gets too thick, loosen with a splash of pasta water or milk.
  • Cheese: Freshly grated parmesan melts best and gives the smoothest texture.
  • Add-ins: Try mushrooms, spinach, or grilled chicken for a full meal.
  • Make it lighter: Use half-and-half instead of heavy cream (slightly thinner result).
  • Meal prep: Stores well for 2–3 days in the fridge. Reheat gently.
  • Lunchbox tip: Great tossed through short pasta for easy next-day meals.
