Pasta With Peas

Fresh pasta with peas made with a green sauce is a simple, quick and flavorful meal. Feel free to customize it with additional vegetables, protein, or your favorite pasta shape.

Ingredients
  

  • 300 grams pasta
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • salt
  • 1/2 cup green sauce
  • 1 tsp pasta spice
  • extra virgin olive oil

Instructions 

  • Cook the Pasta and Peas: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente.In the last 3 minutes of cooking, add the frozen peas to the boiling pasta water.Drain the pasta and peas, reserving a cup of pasta cooking water. Set aside.
  • Combine Pasta, Peas, and Green Sauce: In a large mixing bowl, toss the cooked pasta and peas with the green sauce until well coated. If the sauce is too thick, you can add a bit of the reserved pasta cooking water to reach your desired consistency.
  • Serve: Divide the pasta among plates or bowls. Optionally, garnish with extra Parmesan cheese, a drizzle of olive oil, a sprinkle of fresh herbs and pasta seasoning.
  • Enjoy: Serve immediately to savor the vibrant flavors of the green sauce paired with the sweetness of the peas.
