Total Time 4 hours 15 minutes
Servings :10 jelly shots

Equipment

  • Small plastic shot cups or mini dessert cups
  • Jug(s) for mixing jelly
  • Spoon or small ladle

Ingredients

  • 1 packet red gelatin (strawberry, cherry, or raspberry)
  • 1 packet 1 packet green gelatin (lime or apple)
  • 2 cups boiling water (divided)
  • 2 cups cold water or alcohol of choice (vodka, rum, or prosecco), divided
  • Whipped cream, for topping
  • Festive sprinkles, for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the red layer:

  • In a heatproof bowl, dissolve the red gelatin in 1 cup boiling water, stirring until completely dissolved. Stir in 1 cup cold water or alcohol. Mix well.

Fill the cups:

  • Pour the red jelly mixture into small plastic cups, filling each about halfway. Refrigerate for 1½–2 hours, or until mostly set but still slightly tacky on top.

Prepare the green layer:

  • Dissolve the green gelatin in 1 cup boiling water, stirring until fully dissolved. Stir in 1 cup cold water or alcohol.

Layer carefully:

  • Slowly pour the green jelly over the partially set red layer, filling cups to the top. Refrigerate for another 2–4 hours, or until fully set.

Finish & serve:

  • Just before serving, top each jelly shot with whipped cream and festive sprinkles.

Notes

Calories are calculated using sugar-free jelly and the alcohol-free version. Calories will vary depending on jelly brand, alcohol used, and toppings.
  • Make sure the gelatin is fully dissolved for a smooth texture.
  • Let the first layer set slightly before adding the second to keep layers clean.
  • Chill alcohol before using to help the jelly set properly.
  • Keep refrigerated until serving so the jelly stays firm and the topping holds.
  • Add whipped cream just before serving for best results.
