This chorizo pasta is quick and easy and comes together in 30 minutes! I used a combination of chorizo and pork sausage in this recipe, for a truly elevated flavor combination. That, together with baby shrimp, oil, butter, herbs and spices for a sensational pasta dish!
Easy Chorizo Pasta
This is a great dish for a family dinner and equally impressive when served to guests. The little shrimp, though small, add lots of flavor and add a flair of elegance to the dish.
The shrimp do need to be taken out and left to thaw before cooking. If you are short on time, run them under a cold water tap and place into a clean dish towel. Gently pat dry and leave to further dry while you prepare the rest of the ingredients.
The next time you think of "What to cook for dinner?" Give this Chorizo Pasta a try. It's worth every minute to taste all that flavor.
This dish is best served immediately to enjoy the maximum flavors! Can you heat and eat the next day? Absolutely yes, if you have any left over 🙂

Chorizo and Pork Meat Combination
Richness: Both chorizo and pork sausage are typically made with a combination of pork meat and fat, which contributes to a rich and indulgent dish.
Depth of Flavor: Chorizo is often seasoned with bold spices like paprika, garlic, and chili, while pork sausage may include herbs like fennel, sage, or thyme.
Umami: The natural umami richness of pork enhances the overall depth and savoriness of the pasta dish, making it more satisfying to the palate.

Textural Contrast: Chorizo and pork sausage can provide a contrast in texture to the pasta, with chunks of meat adding a hearty and substantial bite that complements the softness of the noodles.
Aromatic Infusion: As chorizo and pork sausage cook, they release aromatic oils and juices that permeate the pasta, filling the kitchen with enticing smells and enhancing the overall dining experience.
How To Make This Pasta Chorizo Recipe
Shrimp: Rinse and leave to dry.
Garlic: You want all the garlic so don't skimp.
Sausages: I used both pork sausage and chorizo. I said maximum flavor, and fried the garlic in butter and oil, that's pure flavor right there.
Pasta: You can use any pasta in this recipe, but the spaghetti swirls perfectly around the fork as you pick up those tiny shrimp and crunchy juicy sausage!
Chorizo Pasta: This chorizo pasta dinner requires one non stick pan or skillet and a pasta pot to cook pasta water. You can wait for the water to be heated and boil to add the pasta to cook or you can start on your sausage pot in the meantime.
Sausages: Essentially the sausages are actually cooked in a large outdoor pan but any skillet or pan will work. As long as it's non stick and fairly large so that the food is not overcrowded.
