This 5-minute sauce is a close cousin to my Roasted Red Pepper Dip — but made without tahini or parmesan, which keeps it extra simple and accessible. It’s a creamy, vibrant blend that comes together in minutes and elevates just about anything. I first made it for this Quinoa Chicken Lunch Plate (with Pickled Cucumber) hence the images being the same – and it quickly became the star — rich, zippy, and beautifully smooth.
Why You’ll Love It
This sauce sauce is what happens when roasted red pepper meets salty feta, creamy yogurt, and a squeeze of lemon. It’s rich yet refreshing, with a slight tang and a smoky undertone — and it comes together in 5 minutes. Perfect as a dip, drizzle, or spread, it’s the kind of sauce you’ll start making weekly. Ingredients
- Roasted red pepper – Brings sweetness, color, and depth; use jarred or homemade
- Feta cheese – Adds salty, tangy creaminess to balance the sauce
- Plain yogurt (100g / small tub) – For a fresh, light base; Greek yogurt also works well
- Tomato sauce (¼ cup) – Use a good marinara or passata for richness
- Extra virgin olive oil (¼ cup) – Emulsifies the sauce and adds silkiness
- Sea salt and black pepper – To taste, for seasoning
- Smoked paprika – Optional, adds warmth and a smoky edge
- Fresh lemon juice – Brightens and balances the flavors
- Ice cubes (1–2 blocks) – Helps keep the sauce cool and adds body when blending
- Ice water (splash) – To thin the sauce to your preferred consistency

Recipe Notes
- Pepper Tip: Use a good-quality jarred roasted red pepper if you’re not roasting it yourself.
- Yogurt Options: Greek yogurt gives a thicker, tangier result; plain works well too.
- Serving Ideas: Use as a dip with veggies or pita, drizzle over chicken or bowls, or spread in wraps.
- Spice It Up: Add a pinch of cayenne or chili flakes if you want heat.
- Thicker Dip: Use less liquid for a spreadable texture.

- Drizzle over grilled chicken or vegetables
- Spoon over grain bowls like quinoa or couscous
