Whipped Feta Cheese Dip with a cucumber and sundried tomato topping. This feta cheese dip is perfect in so many ways! It doesn't involve any cooking and in summer that's a sure bonus. Serve it cold in the middle of the day for the cold yogurt and creamy cheese to have a sense of relief from the heat. It takes 5 minutes to make and while it's in the fridge to set, you can make my easy, quick complementary topping!
Whipped Feta Cheese Dip
The easiest recipes to make especially in summer when you can't be bothered to put the stove on are dips because they're so easy and versatile. I have a few more dip recipes on my blog like roasted red pepper dip and mascarpone cheese dip so this feta dip fit right in.
So these are the feta dip recipes we love that I'm sharing with you.
Whipped Feta With Mustard and Yogurt
This is a simple version which works exactly the same as the recipe in the recipe card below, just with the mustard and yogurt. I personally find the mustard a bit much in this recipe but I'm sharing it because friends and family loved it over the holidays! The quantities will vary depending on the other ingredients. Mustard is bold in taste, so go easy when adding!
If you're wondering what the topping is, it's pistachios, chopped herbs and olive oil.
Whipped Feta With Sour Cream, Mustard and Yogurt
This whipped feta with sour cream, again the same method and use of other ingredients but with the addition of yogurt. Heres the thing with dips, you taste ALL the ingredients because there's not much else happening in you mouth besides a carrot or cracker, for real though 🙂
I know they look the same, but the sour cream and yogurt definitely tamed the mustard!
This dip is delicious! I could drop garden fresh organic cherry tomatoes in there and eat it without the crackers. Okay, that's what I actually did do and it's still mouthwatering!
Whipped Feta Dip With Cream Cheese
After all the different methods we made and tasted, this was yet another option. No mustard and no sour cream, there's enough zing in the yogurt and fresh lemon!
What about that topping? Goodness, it tastes good! Fresh crunchy cucumber and earthy home grown fresh herbs, sundried tomatoes and roasted bell peppers.
Ingredients You Will Need
Feta Cheese: Feta cheese is the star of the dish. It brings a unique tang, richness, and creaminess to the dish.
Full-Fat Creamy Yogurt: Full-fat creamy yogurt adds depth and smoothness to the dip. It enhances the dip’s texture, ensuring you get smoothness in every bite. Full fat, creamy plain yogurt if you can.
Creamed cheese: I used smooth plain cottage cheese.
Extra Virgin Olive Oil: A drizzle of olive oil not only garnishes the dish but also adds a rich and fruity undertone. We use this extra virgin olive oil.
Dill: Fresh dill is perfect in this dip for that fresh, earthy, herbal element that it brings. It also creates a good balance with the salty feta cheese.
Fresh Parsley: Freshly chopped parsley. Add a fresh, herbal note, elevating the overall flavor.
Ice Water: It helps in adjusting the dip's consistency to your preference. Use it a tablespoon at a time.
Fresh Lemon Juice: It measure out to 2 tablespoons which is roughly one bigger size lemon. Zest the lemon first and then squeeze in the lemon juice.
Salt: Salt balances and brings out the individual flavors of the ingredients. We use this salt and pepper blends and sea salt.

- Adjust the ice water amount to achieve your desired dip thickness. If you prefer thin dip, you can add more iced water or even full-fat yogurt.
- If you are using garlic and want a milder garlic flavor, use roasted garlic instead of raw. You can also use garlic powder. We use this Garlic and Herb Seasoning.
